Acts 11:22-30 - Prog 38

Now from Caesarea to Jerusalem, Luke now takes us to Antioch in Syria. Jerusalem believers had scattered because of the persecution traveling north to Antioch of Syria. Some began speaking the word to Jews only but others began speaking to the Greeks as well. And many of them turned to the Lord. Having heard, the church in Jerusalem sent a good & faithful man to them named Barnabas. When Barnabas arrived, he saw the grace of God among them. But they needed someone one to teach them. It is written, Barnabas went to find Saul in Tarsus who when he came there, began teaching the Word of God among them and there, they were called Christians. A good Bible teacher teaches the Word of God to His church with Christ at the center.
