Description
We now move into Acts 10. We move from Jerusalem to Caesarea where we meet a soldier named Cornelius. He was a God-fearing man, who gave alms to the Jewish people, he prayed to God continually. These things had come up to God as a memorial. God sees this devotion to Him, the true and living God. Here is a man who was God fearing, and yet unsaved. Luke tells us how an angel of the Lord appeared to him to tell him to send for a man named Peter in Joppa, about 32 miles south of Caesarea. Peter would tell him what to do. So he immediately sends two servants and a devout soldier. Here is another devout soldier who has deep respect for God and follows orders.
