Dr. Mitchell gives us a perspective on the numbers who were saved as recorded in the first 5 chapters. He also relates how Peter stands out in the first twelve chapters of Acts, while Paul is prominent in chapters 13-28. As we said previously, even though in the book of Acts there is going to be a transition from a focus on Israel and the kingdom of God to the building of the church, Jesus never the less spoke to the disciples about the kingdom of God in the 40 days between His resurrection and ascension.vs.3. We continue our study in Acts beginning in verse 1.The book of Acts begins with resurrected Son of God, Jesus Christ. The disciples spent 40 days with our Lord, eating and drinking with Him.
