Active But Dry WX Pattern Continues Into December; Fall Harvest Done & Winter Wheat Starting to See Affects of Drought

<p>TODAY much colder air is sinking south over the Central Plains behind a strong low-pressure system moving north of the Canadian border.  There is no moisture to work with until the cold front reaches the Mississippi River, so we will not see any needed moisture only breezy north winds 15-30 mph and colder more seasonal temperatures for a couple days.  Afternoon high’s will be in the low 40’s, while Thursday morning low in the upper teens, will the coldest morning temp of the season.  Tomorrow’s temps will be right around the seasonal averages of 50 and 25-degrees, while Friday and Saturday high-pressure and zonal flow from the west will warm us back into the 60’s, ahead of the next dry cold front and fast-moving system that will track to our north and not pick-up any moisture until well east of the area Sunday. </p>
