Access For Wheelchair Users Must See Improvement

On Friday's Morning Focus, Pat Flynn was joined by Niamh 0'Callaghan, wheelchair user living in Shannon and also a member of Love Shannon Community Group. Niamh was in a car crash eight years ago which left her with limited mobility. Niamh believes access for wheelchair users is inadequate not only in Shannon but throughout the country too. Niamh outlined the circumstances regarding the road traffic collision and the injuries she sustained from it. Niamh highlighted her own experiences facing the lack of accessibility in Clare and explained that people need to think about those with disabilities too when designing facilities and paths.
