Abiding Growth and Promises

<p>John 15 I am the Vine and you are the branches</p> <p>Jn15:5 If you “abide”</p> <p>Stay, continue, dwell, be present, remain, stand and tarry</p> <p>Let’s not get comfortable with Kadesh Barnea</p> <p>You’re my bread you’re my food</p> <p>The fulfillment of our design is found in work</p> <p>Scale of metaphors that refer our relationship w/God</p> <p>-Clay and He’s the Potter</p> <p>-Sheep and the shepherd</p> <p>-Children (but not grow up)</p> <p>-Servant (no longer do I call you servant)</p> <p>-Friend Jn15:15 I call you friend: a servant does not know what his master is doing</p> <p>-Bride (place where everyone wants to be, but few get there)</p> <p><br></p> <p>If we choose to operate in fear, we will no longer or not be able to do the work</p> <p>Kadesh Barnea</p> <p>Spy out the land, but not be willing to go into the land</p> <p>The generation that receives the promise for generations</p> <p>Numbers 14:9</p> <p>Joshua commanded the people, "Don’t fear the people of the land for they are our bread, they have no protection", but the Lord is with us"...</p> <p><br></p> <p>God the Lord rewards maturity with increased responsibility</p>
