Abia Warriors appoints ex-Super Eagles defender Ifejiagwa sporting director

<p>Former Super Eagles defender Emeka Ifejiagwa has been appointed sporting director of Nigeria Premier League club Abia Warriors.</p>, <p>The Umuahia club also confirmed the appointment of Bethel Orji as assistant coach.</p>, <p>The announcement was made through a short message on the club’s Facebook page.</p>, <p>“The club chairman, John Obuh, appoints veteran ex-footballer Ifejiagwa Emeka as Sporting Director and Bethel Orji as Assistant Coach,” the statement reads.</p>, <p>Obuh, a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles player, is trying to reposition the club following his appointment last week.</p>, <p>Abia Warriors put up a respectable performance in the NPL last season. The club missed out on a place in the Super Six playoffs, finishing fourth on the Group B table.</p>
