Jason Yarusi here.</p><p>LeAn Randell Wortman grew up on a remote island in Alaska where homesteading and living off of the land was the custom to owning and operating her own real estate investment firm, Fortunate Homes, in Austin, Texas. &nbsp;</p><p>She grew up close to her father who participated in the commercial fishing industry with real estate investment properties on Prince of Wales Island.</p><p>At a young age, she learned the importance of hard work, how to use tools, the basics of residential construction, and how to operate heavy machinery.</p><p>After graduating from the University of Alaska with a Bachelor's in Biology and a Minor in Anthropology, she obtained a 100 Ton Captain's License.
