A day trip from Jerusalem: Nazareth in the 20th century with Leena Dallasheh

<p>In this second episode dedicated to a day trip from Jerusalem, Prof. Leena Dallasheh takes us to Nazareth. This very important Palestinian center, mostly known for its connection with the story of Jesus, has been for some time considered as the Arab capital of Israel, at least until the early 2000s. Nazareth found itself in Israeli territory in 1948 and Leena gave us some hints about people and the ways they negotiated the trauma and their new position. While Nazareth played a major role in the relationship between Palestinians in Israel and in the West Bank, since Oslo, Nazareth lost its political role.
