Description

The upper-level ridge out west will continue to be the dominate weather feature as it moves over the area today and tomorrow, with unseasonably warm and dry conditions. This morning, a weak cool front has backed to the NE/KS border Hwy 36 area, with some morning fog and northeast winds, this will lead to slightly cooler temps than what we saw yesterday. Morning temps will start in the lower 30’s and climb into the 60’s north Hwy 36 NE line and 70’s to the south. Tomorrow with southwesterly flow we will again warm into the mid to upper 70’s ahead of a low-pressure system and cold front moving across the region overnight. The current forecasted track of this disturbance would have the Tri-state area in the dry slot and snow chances just to our north and west and rain chances to the north and east Saturday with cooler temps. Sunday and Monday a second system will move through the Southern Plains pulling colder air over the area, but heavier rain and snow activity stays south of us.
