84: Are Women Supporting Women?

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With a new cohort of my Ascend Mastermind approaching, it seems only fitting that we take this opportunity this week to look at the power of women supporting women. This is what Ascend is all about, and it is something that is not nearly as prevalent as it should be in society. It’s time to put female rivalry aside and focus on collaboration instead of competition, and you know I have some ideas about how we can achieve this together.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">First of all, we’ll explore the origins of this rivalry, the importance of having safe spaces in which to discuss women supporting women, the nature of patriarchal workplaces, and some thought provoking questions to ask yourself. I’ll also explain ‘The Power Dead-Even Rule’, ‘The Queen Bee Effect’, the impact of society’s expectations on women, and the need to question existing stereotypes and narratives. To finish up, I will provide you with 5 key ways that you can help to raise each other up and channel the power of collaboration.
