70: New Young Pony Club - Tahita and Andy on lyrical precision, claps and cowbells, and bizarre gigs in Hong Kong and Kazakhstan

<div>This week on <strong>The Boys in the Band Podcast</strong> we catch up with <strong>Tahita Bulmer </strong>and <strong>Andy Spence </strong>from <strong>New Young Pony Club</strong>.<br> <br> The band came to the fore in the 00s with their blend of disco and electro punk, and their huge track Ice Cream was played everywhere. Tahita tells us about the big effort that went into nailing the brilliant lyrics to that top tune.  <br> <br> With the success of that track and their debut album, Fantastic Playroom, New Young Pony Club were propelled around the world on tour, playing from Hong Kong to Kazakhstan, New York to Sri Lanka and most places in between.
