<p class="p1"><span class="s1">We can’t wait for you to join today’s chat with Alex Goldberg!</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">Alex Goldberg is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist. Her original form of artistic expression was dance, and throughout her career she has continued to fold other disciplines into her research, most notably her interest in spatial design and research. The layering of design research and the medium of dance has informed the basis for a multi-media practice that explores creative expression as a tool for balancing mind and body in pursuit of a present existence rooted in deep relationship with self, others, and environment. Alex is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Interior Design and Integrative Courses at Pratt Institute and a 2020 recipient of Pratt Institute’s State of The Disciplines Fellowship. Her fellowship project is the development of pedagogy that facilitates unlearning conditioned categorization and encourages interdisciplinary theory and practice as a method for human connection rooted in process rather than categorizing based on outcome. While her work has visual, tangible, and performative elements; it is the transformative process that she feels compelled to share with the world.
