Description

<p>Welcome to the podcast where you Sleep... with Josh. Tonight, we continue reading from the classic ancient Chinese text, San Zi Jing, or Three Character Classic, in Mandarin with English translation. The Three Character Classic was written around the 13th century, and mainly attributed to Confucian scholar, Wang Ying Lin. Read and recited in couplets of three characters, the whole "poem" is under 1200 characters but represents a comprehensive overview of the main features of Confucianism. I will first read one couplet consisting of two 6 character lines in Mandarin, and then read the English translation.
