60 Seconds: Magic Is Alive in the Ordinary!

<p>Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds, your daily dose of hope, imagination, wisdom, stories, practical tips, and general riffing on this and that.</p><p>A friend and colleague lost her brother to illness a short time ago. The memorial photo the family picked out shows a man, maybe middle aged, wearing a shiny blue and red zippered jacket with a Chicago Cubs logo emblazoned on the left front panel. The man is leaning against a railing of what must be <a href="https://www.mlb.com/cubs/ballpark">Wrigley Field</a> stadium with the baseball diamond bright green in the sunshine that’s warm on his face. From his big smile I’m betting his team is getting ready to play; maybe they’ve already won.</p><p>No matter. I see a happy man, a summer afternoon, and baseball.</p><p>There is magic in the ordinary. Look around. See it? You are magic, too.  </p><p><i>This is the place to thrive together.
