Description

Hello to you listening in Port Townsend, Washington!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Recently I was inspired by my London-based friend and colleague Simon Ratcliffe, podcast host of Turning the Tables, and the genius behind Brand With Simon (also on LinkedIn) who suggested a 5-Why technique to further clarify what you do and why you do it.

I took the challenge. Following is my working draft version:

Why do I use my Story Doula skills at Quarter Moon Story Arts to help others?

Because a quarter moon is just the beginning; you may have an image of an idea but don't know how to translate that into words or action.

Why?

Because 30 years as an RN, JD, Storyteller and Podcaster has taught me how to successfully help those who are committed to consciously developing their story messaging but don’t know the words to shape the value of their work.

Why?

Because when my clients discover their story message they know how to state their values, purpose and vision confidently, decisively, standing in the power of their own voice.

Why?

Because that is the true voice - the voice we know we have but we are often struggling to express; to get out from under the burden of not being heard, understood or listened to.

Why?

Because at the end of the day we want to be seen, heard, understood, and listened to so we can influence action and be ready to help others. And, THAT is how we shift attitudes, behaviors, cultures on a deeply human, engaged level.

Practical Tip</stro
