Cushioned wicker chairs were ready and waiting for friends and neighbors to drop by; Washington State is supposed to open up soon.</p><p>Seeing that inviting space and anticipating gathering together again reminded me of one of the many Christmas Eve traditions we were taught in my family:  setting a place at the table for the unexpected guest. There were times when the doorbell rang and a friend would drop in and there was a place already set to welcome them.</p><p><strong>Question</strong>: What if, each morning, we set a place for whatever walked in our door and said, “<i>Hello! Welcome! I’m glad to see you!</i>” How might that change what happens next?</p><p><i>This is the place to thrive together.
