60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday: This! Is the Life I Want

<p>Hello to you listening in <a href="https://www.botswanatourism.co.bw/explore/gaborone" target="_blank">Gaborone, Botswana</a>!</p><p>Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is 60 Seconds for Story Prompt Friday.</p><p>Perhaps like me you have spent time looking for something but you didn’t know what it was.</p><p>I felt stuck in the cross-roads of my life where the true way was wholly lost to me. So, 4 years ago I left everything I knew, a home and community of 20 years, a very successful nationally recognized litigation consulting practice and drove 1500 miles washing up on the shores of Whidbey Island. Why Whidbey? Pretty place, nice people, good pie.</p><p>Little by little I’ve been creating a new identity cobbling together ideas, visions, skills, imagination. To keep me headed in the right direction I keep asking: who’s it for, what’s it for, why does it matter?</p><p>I’m not done yet but I’m closer than I was. As the poem goes:    </p><p><i>"her entire life led to the</i></p><p><i>moment when she said,</i></p><p><i>“This!
