#52 - I DID THIS FIRST (Audio Version 7/30/21)

<p>Today I am joined on the show by COLLEEN GREEN who has a new album called “Cool” coming out In September! It breaks my heart to have to report this, but something got goofy with The Stooges, their publishing company and Colleen’s song <strong>“NOW I WANNA BE A DOG.” </strong>You’ll hear the song/see the music video and WOW other than the obvious lyrical tribute inspiration, it was a whole ordeal! Thankfully though it got settled, the song is out and Colleen speaks pretty freely about the situation.</p><br><p>This is the 52nd episode of <strong>I DID THIS FIRST</strong> which means I’ve been doing this show for a year. I thought that I would make it through this milestone without hearing from <strong>NEW WAVE DAVE</strong>, but he’s resurfaced and he’s got an old song that is too dumb to even spend anytime writing about here. You’ll hear it and his story behind it.</p><p>This week also marks the 20th Anniversary of <strong>WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER</strong> being released in theaters. I’ll share some memories about being a part of this thing for twenty years from being in the original movie in a scene that was THANKFULLY mostly cut out to become a writer on the Netflix show. I’ll also share with you <strong>THE STATE </strong>in my bedroom for the very first PILOT episode of <strong>SQUiRT TV on MTV</strong>.
