I was also very aware: this was the first event on the day of the book’s release. I didn’t want to spoil too much about what’s actually in Tom’s memoir, but tease enough so people would actually buy it. I wanted to do right by my friend of two decades on the day he was releasing a very personal book while also working on a million other things. I knew one thing that had been heavily discussed about the book ahead of time was that Tom auditioned for the NEW MONKEES. This presented me with both a challenge and a decision to make. The challenge?&nbsp;Could I get in touch with <strong>DINO KOVAS</strong> who actually WAS a member of the NEW MONKEES over a holiday weekend? That part was easy. I’m Jake Fogelnest. The decision? SHOULD I get in touch with DINO from the NEW MONKEES and surprise Tom?
