471. Anniversary Episode

<div>471. It's our 10th Anniversary for the Louisiana Anthology website and the 9th for the Louisiana Anthology Podcast. We <a href="http://archive.org/download/471-anniversary-episode/471--anniversary_episode.mp3" target="_blank">discuss</a> our accomplishments over the last year. The Louisiana Anthology has reached almost 9,000,000 words and 230 authors. This year we also migrated the anthology to its new home, <a href="http://louisiana-anthology.org/">http://louisiana-anthology.org/</a>.<a name='more'></a> Hopefully by our next anniversary, our first print book will be out — <i>Liberty in Louisiana</i>, by James Workman. It is the oldest surviving play about Louisiana, out of print since 1804. Over the last year, we have added a number of works to the web site. The most significant one is <a href="http://www2.latech.edu/~bmagee/louisiana_anthology/texts/saxon/saxon--gumbo_ya_ya.html"><i>Gumbo Ya-Ya</i></a>, by Lyle Saxon and a team of WPA researchers. It is a collection of folklore about New Orleans and Louisiana in general. We also have the Louisiana Anthology Podcast with 470 episodes and counting, The <a href="https://louisianaanthologycookbook.blogspot.com/">Louisiana Anthology Cookbook</a> is our cooking blog, with 1,400 recipes.
