41. Worldly Belongings Will Never Satisfy Your Soul – Dr. Ray Self

<p style="font-weight: 400;">Sometimes the most cocky and most confident people are insecure and struggling with illegitimacy. Dr. Ray Self had everything money could buy but he wasn’t happy. He heard this message from the Lord: “You have built a house of cards on a foundation of sand.” After he lost everything, the Lord showed up in a bigger way than he could have imagined. He now runs the International College of Ministry, has written 2 books, has a podcast and a wonderful family. Here how he shares what the Lord shared with him about schemes.</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">A scheme is a plan against your life. It is a weapon formed against you that hits your entire life and repeats itself over and over.</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">Schemes can be:</p> <ul style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>Rejection</li> <li>Fear</li> <li>Anxiety</li> <li>Shame</li> <li>Illegitimacy – the biggest scheme of all for Christians</li> </ul> <p style="font-weight: 400;">Illegitimacy is an identity where you start to question yourself. You don’t believe that you are a son or a daughter. You are like an orphan without parents. “Are you really saved?”</p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">How can you get free from the scheme over your life:</p> <ol style="font-weight: 400;"> <li>Recognize there is a scheme</li> <li>Pray, ask for forgiveness for your part.
