4.2 From Fighters to Writers

Her teaching story was made into a book "<em>The Freedom Writers Diary"</em> and a movie "<em>Freedom Writers</em>"!</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"> By fostering an educational philosophy that valued and promoted diversity, she transformed her students’ lives, most of whom were seen as "unteachable". She encouraged them to rethink rigid beliefs about themselves and others, to reconsider daily decisions, and to re-chart their futures.
