35. Sara Feigenholtz, an adoptee in reunion and an Illinois Senator

Sara as an Illinois State Representative fought 14 years (1996-2010) to have the adoption law changed in her state granting adoptees the right to request their original birth certificate. As an adoptee herself, she advocates on behalf of all members of the constellation for adoption reform. Now as an Illinois Senator, she continues to serve the citizens of her district from her Northside office in Chicago and from the state capital in Springfield, IL.
