<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="mso-bidi-language: AR-JO;">Arnon Avni, an Israeli cartoonist and graphic designer, is a member of kibbutz Nirim, near the Gaza border. He is a longtime peace activist with Peace Now, Israel’s preeminent peace movement. On October 7<sup>th</sup> 2023, he hid in his home’s bomb shelter with his wife and two grandchildren, escaping the terrorist attack. Five people were killed in Nirim that day. Others were kidnapped to Gaza.
