In honour of the recent passing of Supreme Court Justice and American feminist icon, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, affectionately called "The Notorious RBG" by her supporters and fans, myself included, I will be reading the landmark women's rights majority opinion for the Supreme Court case, United States v. Virginia from 1996, which was authored by RBG herself. Upon confirmation to the Supreme Court in 1993, Ruth Bader Ginsburg was only the second female judge confirmed for the bench and was revered for her fight for women's rights throughout her career.
