3.5.11: Praying the Psalms 119: A Praise Song for the Bible, the Word of God

<p>Growing up Catholic, I was deprived of God’s Word and hence, God’s Truth. Now, I can’t get enough of the Bible — it’s like a treasure chest full of God’s Goodness. The Psalms are praise songs and prayers to God covering many topics. Psalm 119, though it’s the longest one, is a beautiful prayer, praising God’s Word, the Bible. It’s a Hebrew acrostic poem; there are 22 stanzas, one for each successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Each of the eight verses within each stanza begins with the Hebrew letter named in its heading. Read it aloud with me.
