Moonee Valley greets us with the rail in the True on what should be a good track, despite some inclement weather in the week leading up. With the Manikato Stakes now moved to the Saturday, the Group 2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup takes centre stage as the feature in potentially a last gasp staying lead up to the Flemington Carnival. The card also includes the standard 955m challenge, the Listed Chataqua Stakes for the sprinters and the Group 3 JRA Plate.
