Description
The brother of John the disciple, he was also known as St James the Greater since he was taller than the other James. He was one of Jesus’ first disciples and one of the three that witnessed Jesus’ transfiguration. He is the patron saint of pilgrims and Spain. His feast day is on 25th July.
