25 January - Conversion of St Paul the Apostle

On 25th January, the church celebrates the feast of the conversion of St Paul the Apostle. Paul was given the name Saul at birth. He persecuted the early Christians with great fervour and was known and feared because of it. He encountered the Lord on his way to Damascus and his life changed forever - dedicating his life to spreading the Gospel.
