2329: UNFPA Reception Centre in Malakal for Women Refugees

<div>"If we don't address the immediate needs of these women and girls, they will unfortunately lose their lives. We are talking about women who might gone through sexual violence or GBV which at some points needs an intervention within 72 hours, we are also talking about pregnant women who also need emergency medical assistance" says Hussein Hassan, UNFPA Humanitarian Coordinator in South Sudan. The Organization set up a reception centre in Malakal, Upper Nile State, to respond to sexual reproductive needs of returnees and refugees women and girls. </div>
