Her over 20-years journey in PR, digital, marketing includes roles in both agency and corporate, as well as the less travelled journey of entrepreneurship. She uses her blend of expertise in PR, brand and marketing, to help South African and multinational brands solve complex business challenges, and to build and protect corporate reputation. In 2011 she established PR Powerhouse, a strategic public relations consultancy that grew over a period of time to handle the reputation management, crisis communication and transformation driven communications of blue chip companies such as SAA, Nedbank, Cricket South Africa, South African Chamber of Commerce, Business Unity South African and the South African Civil Aviation Authority amongst others. At the time one of her clients also included a mid-cap JSE listed black industrialist and technology company then known as Ansys Limited. Ansys was reposition- ing itself to become a leading technology business geared to be part of South Africa's 4th industrial revolution journey. The business acquired a number of business that would enable their ability to be a wholesale provider - as part of this process, they recognised that they needed to have strategic communications and marketing to amalgamate its people, services and products, and took a decision to bring Lebo into the fold by acquiring her PR business and repositioned it as its in-sourced Marketing and PR department with Lebo, as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
