<p><strong>Episode 22:48 DON’T Change Your Diet… Do This Instead</strong></p> <p>There are two things we want you to learn from this episode.</p> <p>The first is this:</p> <p><strong>Your behaviors determine your health.</strong></p> <p>- Smoke too many cigarettes and you’ll get lung cancer.</p> <p>- Drink too much alcohol and you’ll get cirrhosis of the liver.</p> <p>- Eat too much sugar and you’ll develop Diabetes.</p> <p>You get the idea.</p> <p>Now, let’s look at the second lesson:</p> <p>It actually begins with a question:</p> <p>If your behaviors determine your health, what determines your behaviors?</p> <p>Great question… and an important one as well!</p> <p>Important because it is your MINDSET - what you BELIEVE - regarding exercising, eating right, getting enough sleep, spending time in the sun, etc… that will determine your behaviors.</p> <p>And therein lies the second lesson:</p> <p><strong>Your MINDSET determines your behaviors.</strong></p> <p>Connect these two lessons together and you’ll have a tremendous understanding of health:</p> <p>1) Your behaviors determine your health.</p> <p>2) Your MINDSET determines your behaviors.</p> <p>So, why is this important?</p> <p>Because when seeking to improve one’s health, most people focus solely on the first lesson… on changing their behaviors.</p> <p>For example, they begin to do things like exercise more and/or eat better.</p> <p>And while these changes are good, they most likely will not be sustained, nor have a lasting impact, if the MINDSET of the person hasn’t also changed.</p> <p>That is, if in your mind you SEE yourself as unhealthy... all the healthy behaviors in the world won’t, in the long run, improve your health.</p> <p>Sure, you may look and feel healthier for awhile, but in the long run you’ll sabotage your efforts and revert back to behaviors that are consistent with your MINDSET.</p> <p>For this reason, it is vitally important to identify and correct weaknesses in your MINDSET if you want to have any hope of adopting, and sustaining, healthy
