212:1: Isaiah 50-52: Life is Short. Be Thankful with Joy and Gladness!

<p>Have you ever been in a mess of your own making? &nbsp;Sure there are tough times brought on by natural disasters and our &nbsp;fallen world. But what about the times when you’ve neglected something, &nbsp;then realize you shouldn’t have. For instance, with my previous car, I &nbsp;never really paid attention to the tire pressure. I didn’t realize that &nbsp;one front tire was getting dangerously low, until as I was merging from &nbsp;one highway to another, the tire just crumbled. Now, I pay attention and &nbsp;am grateful for the sensors that warn me when a tire’s pressure is low. &nbsp;I immediately take it to the garage and have them check it.</p> <p>Isaiah wrote in 700 BC. It was a letter of warning for the Jews. The &nbsp;Babylonians wouldn’t invade for another hundred years. You’d think that &nbsp;the people of Isaiah’s day would have warned the next generation to obey &nbsp;God and His <a href="https://giselleaguiar.com/2021/04/17/how-jesus-takes-the-10-commandments-and-wraps-them-into-2-great-ones/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">commandments</a>. &nbsp;They didn’t and the whole city of Jerusalem paid for their sins. Let &nbsp;this be a warning for us today. Obey God or else.
