2023 AFCON: Super Eagles ready to face Cote d’Ivoire, others

<p>Semi Ajayi expects the Super Eagles to be at their best when they face hosts, Cote d’Ivoire at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.</p>, <p>The three-time African kings will be up against the Elephants, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.</p>, <p>Cote d’Ivoire are Nigeria’s biggest opposition in the group.</p>, <p>Ajayi stated that he and his teammates will be battle ready for the Ivorians.</p>, <p>“The bigger games bring out our best,” said West Bromwich Albion defender Ajayi.</p>, <p>“So, I am really excited we are drawn against the host nation, there will be more attention on us because of that.”</p>, <p>The Super Eagles will open their campaign against Equatorial Guinea at the Alhassan Quattara Stadium, Abidjan, on January 14, before they face the host country four days later.</p>, <p>Their final group game will be against now familiar foes Guinea Bissau on January 22.</p>
