<p>I was not prepared for the imposter syndrome, guilt, shame, or self-doubt that I would face when I left the bedside, went outpatient, then to procedural, and eventually when I left the profession all together.  I don&apos;t think we talk about this experience enough. What does being a &quot;real nurse&quot; even mean?
