174. Caring For Your Elders with Leslie Fuller

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Happiness Solved with Sandee Sgarlata. In this episode, Sandee interviews</span> <span style= "font-weight: 400;">Leslie Fuller.</span> <span style= "font-weight: 400;">Leslie Fuller is</span> <span style= "font-weight: 400;">a social gerontologist. Her work and passion have been centered around senior adults since 2008. She received her Master of Social Work degree with a focus in gerontology from the University of Kansas in 2008 and took her first role in a 275-apartment senior living community. As the Director of Resident Services, she supported residents to develop social circles, held their hand through tragedy, provided support groups for low vision, Parkinson’s Disease, and Alzheimer’s caregivers, and most of all learned from them. Those 6 years were some of the best of her adult working life. Then she became the Executive Director of an Alzheimer’s and dementia care community. Her office was in the middle of a bustling community of 54 residents living with dementia.
