1731: UJOSS: Withdraw case against the Alwatan Arabic newspaper.

<div>The Union of Journalists of South Sudan – UJOSS, is appealing to the media authority to withdraw a case against the editor-in-chief of the Alwatan Arabic newspaper. <br> <br> </div> <div>UJOSS President, Patrick Oyet says the authority acted unfairly when it fined Michael Christopher 700,000 SSP for allegedly posting politically inciting content on social media. <br> <br> </div> <div>Christopher was given 30 days, which expired yesterday, to pay the fine or face legal action. <br> <br> </div> <div>Oyet says they have held several meetings with the media authority but have failed to reach an understanding.<br> <br> </div>
