Today’s topic is fresh on my mind because I just turned in the second draft of the manuscript for my new book! The book won’t be out until next year, but I am so excited about it! It will be my fifth book, and since many people don’t realize how much actually goes into writing and publishing a book, I am using this episode to share the process with you!

What I share in this episode should be helpful to just about any large, time-consuming project, not just writing and publishing a book. There was a time when writing books was incredibly stressful and was affecting the family and the business, and I had therefore decided not to write anymore. I touch upon what changed my mind and why it’s no longer as stressful, which, again, I am hoping is going to be helpful to you when it comes to tackling large projects!

I discuss how I outline and have to map out the book in advance and how and why I plan out one chapter at a time. I talk about the collaboration process - people whose help I enlisted - and how it is important for me to read the book out loud because it’s easier for me to catch things like mistakes. You ideally want to write something that you are excited about and passionate about, and that’s true of any big project, such as starting a business or writing a book. Consistency is so important, especially if you commit a block of time to it every day!

I can’t wait to share this book with you all! As of now, it is expected to be out in March of 2023, and we will of course be talking more about it as that gets closer! We really appreciate you tuning in again this week and hope that this insight has been helpful to you!
