1659: President Kiir calls for renewed spirit as the country commemorates 10 years of independence

<div> President Salva kiir says government is implementing a series economic reforms, which have led to the appreciation of the South Sudan Pound SSP against the US dollar. Speaking in his special address to mark South Sudan’s 10th independence anniversary, president Kiir called for renewed spirit as the country implements the revitalized peace agreement. The president further urged youth advocating for jobs in the NGO sector to exercise calm and restraint. He said government has formed a high-level committee to study and develop a road map to permanently resolve the matter.<br> <br> </div>
