<div>US President Joe Biden has waived some penalties under the Child Soldiers Protection Act of 2008 for South Sudan.<br> <br> </div> <div>The waiver aims to allow for the provision of assistance through UN Peacekeeping operations and certifies that the Government is taking effective and continuing steps to address the problem of child soldiers.<br> <br> </div> <div>This is contained in a report released by the State department last week.<br> Sebit Abdu has more in this report.  <br> <br> </div>
