162: Prayer for Children Who Witnessed Violence

This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.</p> <p> </p> <p>This prayer is for our children who witness violence.</p> <p> </p> <p>Father God, in the name of Jesus, I honor your name. I give you glory and I give you praise. And God, I just want to say a special prayer for our babies who have gone through such a traumatic event. God, I pray for the healing of their little minds and their hearts.</p> <p> </p> <p>I pray, God in the name of Jesus that you would send someone to pray with them, to counsel them. I pray to God, in the name of Jesus, that their parents would be decerning for changes in behavior or anything that would alert him that their child is not handling this well.</p> <p> </p> <p>And God, I just pray for the healing of those young minds that those young souls. God, I pray in the name of Jesus that there will be no long-term effect of the violence in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.</p> <p> </p> <p>And I pray, oh God. In the name of Jesus, the children will return to their normal time of play. And that they will feel safe to play in their own homes and in their own environments, God, without fear of someone hurting them. I give you glory. And I give you praise that our children are being delivered from the spirit of fear in Jesus' name.</p> <p> </p> <p>I pray, oh God, that you are surrounding each child with an angel of God.
