This is Pat Willie, the founder, and CEO of the not-for-profit ministry, The Gathering. When women gather, when women worship. Thanks for joining us for this podcast, the two-minute prayer. I believe that prayer is essential. It is life-giving and life-sustaining, and it only takes just a minute to pray.</p> <p> </p> <p>This prayer is against violence.</p> <p> </p> <p>Father God, in the name of Jesus, I honor your name and what a great name you have, the name of Jesus. The one that we can call on no matter what's going on in our lives and will matter what is going on in our nation.</p> <p> </p> <p>God, I pray for the healing of our nation. Your word says if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, seek Your face, turn from their wicked ways. Then you would hear and heal our land. You will hear from heaven and heal our land.</p> <p> </p> <p>And God, I give you glory and I give you praise that the prayer is against gun violence. God, I pray that the holy spirit would arrest that spirit of murder, that spirit of evil in the name of Jesus. And that every attack of the enemy is cast down in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray to God that you would spoil every plan, you would ambush the devil in all of his plans to destroy innocent people in the name of Jesus. I plead the blood of Jesus and your protection all over our children. Over our schools. Over our churches. Over our supermarket, God. Over a glory be to God, every environment where people are gathered, I pray for divine protection. I pray that you would send angels to protect your people.
