She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and returned to Gainesville to complete her Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Florida. After completing medical school, she relocated to Charlotte, NC, for family medicine residency training at Carolinas Medical Center, currently known as Atrium Health. She has practiced in several settings, since completing residency in 2003 including a federally qualified community health center in South Carolina, a small physician-owned private practice in South Carolina, the Novant Medical Group in Charlotte, NC, and most recently with a private physician-owned group One Health, which is affiliated with Atrium Health. Within the past few years, Dr. Jamison has decided to pursue her interest in medical education and served as the medical director for the Pfeiffer University physician assistant program in Albemarle, NC. She is committed to educating future healthcare providers and has mentored and precepted several medical, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner students throughout her career. As part of her interest in medical education, she is also pursuing a Master of Health Professions Education from A.T. Still University, which will be completed in May 2023.
