<p>Concerns have been raised about the number of volunteers the CFA has attracted, with the total number at the lowest it has been in a decade. &nbsp;<br> <br> Nine News reported "The state's Country Fire Authority missed its target of 39,400 volunteer firefighters in the 2018/19 financial year, with 34,380 registered, according to a copy of its latest annual report leaked to the Herald Sun." &nbsp;"The leaked report also showed the CFA wage bill ballooning by $100 million over three years.
