145: Joy Hoover is Protecting Women with Lipstick

<p data-pm-slice="1 1 []">Crime against women is on the rise, and it's something we all need to be aware of so we can protect ourselves. That's where today's guest, Joy Hoover, comes in.</p> <p>With 13 years of experience as a safety activist, she and her husband, Phil, are leading a movement of humans who give a shit. From helping victims of human trafficking and domestic and sexual violence all the way to giving women tools to protect themselves while they are out.</p> <p>Her biggest project is a new product that is coming out in Spring of 2023 - Liquid Lipstick. The lipstick features an airtight container with test strips to detect common date-rape drugs in drinks.
