<p>Aishah interviews Aisha of Abāyo House.&nbsp;</p> <p>Abāyo House is a publishing company formed by four sisters in response to the significant and growing need for true representation and genuine diversity in the publishing and literature industry.</p> <p>Aisha Yusuf is one of those four sisters and is a 23-year-old Somali-Canadian who found her voice through writing. Growing up she was an avid reader but started to feel disconnected from stories due to the absence of important voices in literature. She decided to take matters into her own hands after hearing Toni Morrison’s advice and wrote the book she’s always wanted to read.
