<div><span><span>#104: #QUARANTINE EDITION [Corona Virus]</span></span></div> <p><span>One month into #quarantinelife as a result of #CoronaVirus and many of us are getting a little stir crazy. After arguing with countless people on Facebook, I decided I&#39;d go ahead and piss more people off by doing a quick rant with some of my thoughts. The bottom line is this: I don&#39;t think the current strategy is going to work. This doesn&#39;t mean I don&#39;t care about people dying from the virus, it simply means I don&#39;t think shutting down the country over a virus that ultimately kills a little more than 1.5% of the people that get it in our country makes any sense. Yes, I understand the argument of &#34;slowing the spread&#34; so that the hospitals don&#39;t get overwhelmed. That is definitely a great argument. However, that cannot be the long term solution. We can&#39;t shut the world down over something where 95% of the cases are MILD. Moving forward I think we need to figure out how to fix the hospitals getting overwhelmed problem. That&#39;s the problem we need to focus on. Staying at home indefinitely until &#34;the coast is clear&#34; is a bad strategy. Now they&#39;re saying that 50% of the people that test positive for Covid19 NEVER show any symptoms! If that&#39;s the case how are we ever going to know when it is safe to leave the house and go back to &#34;normal&#34;? Time to get back to work and figure out a different strategy.
