#083: The Intersection of Art and the Boardroom, with Heidi Zuckerman

<p>It’s not everyday we think about the intersection of art and business. In our case specifically it’s not everyday we consider what boardroom leadership looks like when married with art history. Today we get the opportunity to hear from an expert in that field with a proven track record of success, <a href='https://www.linkedin.com/in/heidi-zuckerman-a236b55/'>Heidi Zuckerman</a>.</p> <p>Heidi is the Founder of HiZ.art, a multi-platform project that connects all to art through a podcast series: Conversations About Art, talks program, and more. An inspiring storyteller and trusted conversation partner, Zuckerman has invited artists, curators, collectors, athletes, actors, musicians, politicians and CEOs to explore art through threads of uncertainty, happiness, and spirituality on her podcast, <a href='https://anchor.fm/heidi-zuckerman'>Conversations About Art</a>, of which new episodes are available every other Tuesday.</p> <p> </p> <p>Heidi, is also a globally recognized leader in contemporary art and the former CEO and Director of the Aspen Art Museum. After re-imagining the museum as a world-class institution, she raised more than $120 Million and built a new, highly-acclaimed museum with Shigeru Ban, the 2014 Pritzker Prize winner for architecture.  She has curated more than 100 exhibitions during her career and is the author of numerous books including <a href='https://www.amazon.com/Conversations-Artists-II-Heidi-Zuckerman/dp/0934324891/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=conversations+with+artists&qid=1596025599&s=books&sr=1-3'>Conversations with Artists I and II</a> and a widely loved children’s book <a href='https://www.amazon.com/Amy-Adler-Heidi-Zuckerman-Jacobson/dp/0934324360'>The Rainbow Hour</a>with artist Amy Adler. Heidi also served as the Chair of the YPO Art Network.
