079: Using the "Who Not How” Principle in Your Practice

<p>If you tend to avoid dealing with business-related tasks in your practice, you’re not alone. Balancing your bank statements or working on a well-thought-out marketing strategy isn’t what you signed up for when deciding to pursue a career in functional or alternative medicine.</p> <p> </p> <p>Helping your patients achieve their health goals is what you love doing the most, as it should be. But just like two sides of a coin, there are two distinct aspects of running a practice: clinical work and business-related tasks. The latter can easily become our undoing if we aren’t paying attention.</p> <p> </p> <p>That’s why I want to introduce the “Who Not How” principle, which has helped me develop a network of other professionals to help me with the business tasks I don’t love doing. These individuals can do what they do best which allows me to do what I do best! They are the “Who’s” that have the “How” to help us thrive as clinicians.</p> <p> </p> <p>It’s not a failure if you choose to hire someone to do something that doesn’t light you up.
